The Box is an experimental short documentary visualizing the experiences of solitary confinement for three survivors. The film was shot across a 7-day period in a cell built in participation with former inmates to represent the reality down to the cracks in the walls. Combining live action and an animation technique called pixellation, the documentary received multiple accolades including a grant from The Marshall Project, and recognition by the Sundance Institute, the Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW & Camerimage. Watch the film, which premiered digitally on the New Yorker website.

Visualizing the mania of fandom, Live Más is a four episode branded doc series sponsored by Taco Bell showing the energy on the Clemson University campus around their football team. We spent four days filming at Clemson University, including filming on the field for Clemson’s sold-out rivalry game against Texas A&M. This was a complex and rapid production with four distinct episodes shot in less than a week and the logistical challenges of filming at a live sporting event.
The below Director’s Cut re-imagined the story in the wake of the 2020 pandemic, as fans were cut off from the sports they craved.

From executive producer Ellen Pompeo (Grey’s Anatomy), this doc series was created for Quibi two months prior to their shutdown. The doc series highlights the escapades of a group of LA creatives who formed a brand around their bike crew - Two Wheel Gang. Once a month, the crew hosted Secret Sunday rideouts with hundreds of kids pulling off feats of absurd bike athleticism on city streets.

Developed with director Bill Kirstein and NY Times jazz critic Giovanni Russonello, this is the first episode of a potential series bringing jazz artists together to improvise in intimate venues, unique to their combined sound. The first episode featured bass clarinetist, Lea Bertucci and cellist, Tomeka Reid in the acoustic hall of mirrors, the Widow Jane Mine. The artists explore the space before composing a piece from scratch in its dank depths. The live performance was lit via mirror boards bouncing sunlight from outside the cave and a few supplementary LED tubes on stage. We also recorded a high quality version of the performance for release on digital platforms.

Produced for The Win Company
Over the past four years, I’ve produced over thirty political ads for The Win Company, an agency and strategy firm creating political ads for progressive candidates around the United States. Personal highlights include flipping the house with four winning candidates in the Virginia delegates races, electing Lauren Underwood in a notoriously Red Illinois congressional district, and work for the presidential campaign of Joe Biden. Other candidates I’ve worked with include the viral sensation, Iron Stache aka Randy Bryce, and New York Governor candidate, actor and activist, Cynthia Nixon.
The two films below are a small sample of the work.

Beefs are solved with fists in the ring. What started as a YouTube channel has risen to a phenomenon with tens of millions of views per video. The film was selected for SXSW and received a Vimeo Staff Pick, among other accolades.

I’ve produced three campaigns for Design Within Reach and parent company Herman Miller. The first was a tongue-in-cheek, Wes Anderson-esque portrait of the Risom House, designer Jens Risom’s family retreat on Block Island. The campaign promoted DWR’s new Risom furniture line and led to future work, including a 2019 flagship ‘Home Comes First’ campaign aimed at first time customers. The most recent films were produced for parent company, Herman Miller, traveling to their midwestern assembly factory where every product is assembled by hand and tested rigorously.

The first of two films commissioned by Mercedes and Matchbox to promote the release of a toy modeled on the rally car of Ewy Rosqvist. The Swedish driver was the first woman to win a Grand Prix in 1962. This commercial was designed as a social experiment, bringing girls into a studio set with traditionally male and female toys laid out. After learning the story of Ewy, the toy car immediately became the popular choice.

Executive produced by Caroline Suh (Salt Fat Acid Heat), this doc series for Quibi profiles fighters on the precipice of UFC glory. Fighters from around Massachusetts travel to the gym of former UFC lightweight legend, Joe Lauzon, to hone their skills and meet other MMA fighters on their journey from amateur to pro. This film was a promo reel for the series.
